Gantt Chart
The laboratory controller can see on the Gantt chart:
- Capacity conflicts with regard to laboratory staff (thick red vertical bars) (by scrolling in the view they also see overloads for other bottleneck resources, such as e.g. HPLC devices)
- The set values of available capacity and shift rota (single-shift, double-shift)
- Changes in the available capacity can be simulated and so for example the use of Saturday working can be tested in advance.
- Obtain detailed information on individual orders (e.g. via tool-tips)

The laboratory controller sees all deadline exceptions affecting their lab. Also, they can obtain capacity evaluations via their own and where relevant other assigned laboratories. This allows them to detect tendencies in the long term and countermand any conflicts in good time. This also enables efficient vacation or annual planning. Capacity bottlenecks can be detected early and corrected by applying countermeasures:
- Change shift rotas
- Overtime and provision of additional personnel capacities
- Rearrange times of inspection orders
- Shift inspection orders to another laboratory (change of lab)

Asset capacity usage cockpit
In the asset capacity usage cockpit the laboratory controller obtains detailed information for all resources of their laboratory area on:
- Usages in %
- Total available capacity in hours
- Used capacity in hours
- Free capacity in hours
The discretization of the display can be adjusted in a flexible way (e.g. by week, by month), similarly the time period to be displayed. A list can be called up for an inspection resource with all pending inspections (e.g. as a basis for a printout).
