Workflow control

In an inspection orders cockpit, users can set a processing status for each inspection order and for each process stage. A gray cross means that the corresponding activity is not yet completed. Using a context-sensitive menu the user can jump into the corresponding transaction or into a corresponding comment field. In addition, a problem in the processing of the process stage can be marked with a red cross or an irrelevant stage with a line. SAP-based and non-SAP-based processes can also be linked together (e.g, certificate generation). The overall status of a process, also taking account of expected lead times, is visually displayed in summary columns.
Sorting, filtering and focusing functions within the table highlight the critical processes.

The transparency within the Quality Control process simplifies the agreement of targets and performance measurements significantly. The use of SAP data enhances the SAP system and the maintenance status of the SAP master and transaction data improves rapidly.

Communications platform

Considerable expenses for laboratory control arise from the harmonization across areal and departmental boundaries. This affects the contact personnel in production, production planning, logistics, procurement, development etc.
The lab controllers must take on board, analyze, prioritize and report back all requirements of these points of contact on the labs. This process is expensive, and in many companies resides outside the SAP system due to the use of e-mails and spreadsheets. This generates unnecessary expense and devalues the SAP system.
The use of the lab control software integrates and cross-links the information from the individual areas. The harmonization takes place centrally, reliably and is easily comprehensible for all staff involved. The data in the SAP system are maintained and the SAP is in a better position to carry out its job as a central information platform.
The users can of course also enter information in free-text format and thus store specific information on a batch/ test run.
